This week, The Merry Beggars welcomed 30 actors on-site to record three series premiering later this spring: Gianna Molla, Charbel Makhlouf, and Junipero Serra. We were thrilled with our results, and can't wait to share the audio with you! As a little sneak peek, enjoy these photos from a week spent in the recording studio.
Monday: Charbel Makhlouf
Today we recorded the story of Saint Charbel, a 19th-century Lebanese monk and miracle worker. We worked withan awesome cast, with actors flying in from Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, and New York!
Tuesday: Gianna Molla
Next up: Saint Gianna Molla, the 20th-century Italian doctor who heroically chose to give her own life in place of her child's.
Thursday: Junipero Serra
In our final production day of the week, we recorded Saint Junipero Serra, the 18th-century Spanish Franciscan who founded many of the California Missions.
