From his earliest childhood, Bosco was ready and desirous to be a priest. Once ordained, he became aware of his personal mission: to change the world through ministering to the urban youth of Turin. Facing political and personal struggles, Bosco demonstrates virtues of courage, perseverance, and charity, loving no matter what, giving himself totally to others.
This series contains raised voices, arguments, and moments of intensity. Several references to a parents’ early death are made. The young Bosco punches one of his bullies. A character threatens Bosco with a pistol. A character leaves the church to join a socialist ideology. Don Bosco has several disturbing dreams. Several references to characters being orphaned and the difficulties of poverty.
