Montpellier, France. 1315 A.D. As the Black Death decimates Europe, killing millions, the healthy shun the afflicted. But one young man, the young son of the town governor, is moved by faith and compassion to help them. Born with a unique mark on his chest, his family believes he has been sent by God. But when tragedy strikes, will this holy young man be able to save those closest to him? This is the story of Saint Roch.

Saint Roch’s journey showcases his courage and charity. Whether Roch prays over plague victims or relinquishes his inheritance for the good of others, his decisions are motivated by faith, justice, and charity. In his solitude and sickness he finds hope as he learns to live his faith and deepen his trust in God.
This series contains moments of danger and intensity. Scenes include depictions of physical decline due to illness, imprisonment under false accusations, betrayal by a trusted family member, and emotional turmoil resulting from grief, injustice, and spiritual doubt. There are mentions of death from the plague and a character receives Last Rites while dying.
