Lebanon. 1844. The tiny village of Bekaa Kafra. High atop the northern mountains, a fifteen year old peasant boy longs to find God in solitude. But opposition from his family and friends, and foreign occupation of his country stand in his way.
Only a miracle can help him. This is the story of Saint Charbel.

Saint Charbel is a man who receives a calling from God and follows it with all his heart. In spite of his family situation and lack of education, Charbel seeks God all his heart and all his strength. When meeting obstacles, even objections from his superiors, Charbel responds with peace and obedience, loving God’s will above his own.
This series contains moments of intensity, anger, and fear. A young Charbel is bullied for his dedication to praying. A man is beaten by Ottoman soldiers. This series also contains major arguments between parents and children. Episode 3 contains a frightening sequence of temptation and may not be suitable for younger audiences. A character has a stroke and passes away after some time.
