Oak Grove, Wisconsin. 1887. Irish immigrant farmers Bernard and Margaret Casey raise their sixteen children on a small plot of land where the work never ends and the profits are few. Now, some poor harvests have them more worried than usual, and it's up to their seventeen-year-old son Barney to help the family to stay alive. This is the story of the man who would become known as Father Solanus Casey.
