Ignatius of Loyola
When ambition bows to God, a hero of faith is born.
Italy. 1553. Father Ignatius, founder of the Jesuits, is honored and revered by his community - but few know the story of his wild youth: the story of his conversion. He spurns all personal questions, avoiding “unnecessary attention,” until, one day, he meets a young, vain, ambitious novice who needs to hear the tale. This is the story of Ignatius of Loyola.

Ignatius is a role model for spiritual discernment. He works relentlessly to abandon his pride and focus on obedience and listening to God’s will over his own. He is courageous and endures suffering and deepens his faith through prayer, discernment, and turning away from his own desires and toward God.
This series contains moments of danger and intensity, including raised voices. It depicts battlefield combat, a shattered leg and surgical breaking, self-inflicted penances, a brief demonic possession, threats of killing, imprisonment, and physical roughness, along with serious illness and fear of death
